I just started this “Motivational Movie” campaign, I’m going to watch as many of them as possible between October 1 and December 31. Yesterday I watched “The Blind Side” and today I watched “Dead Poet Society.”
Both were great movies and both touched, moved and inspired. Dead Poets Society had the biggest impact on me. I really enjoyed watching this movie again.
My take away was this: Life is short; seize the day, everyday, live life to the fullest. Conformity destroys mans passion for life. Take the road less traveled and it will make all the difference.
Your life is your life, live it as you powerfully choose, without harming others.
I highly recommend this movie for all to see. Watch it and see where have you lost you lust for life due to the belief that you must conform to the standards of society.
People who make a difference in the world.
Earlier this year I was in Las Vegas for 10 days. I gambled away money I shouldn’t have, I consumed more food than I should have and I drank entirely to much alcohol. When in Sin City, do as Sinners do. I went to a Cirque Du Soleil. I visited red rock canyon, attended an arts festival and I hangout with some local and out of town friends. All of this was great, yet none of it was the most memorable part of my trip.
The thing that most impacted me was an amazing human being that I met walking down Fremont Street in “Old Las Vegas” His name is Raudel Torres. He was sitting on the pavement, in the middle of the street between four casinos. He sat there, legs crossed in a Lotus pose, greeting people as they passed by with two simple phrases. “Enjoy your life” and “I Love You”.
His expression of love for humanity blew me away. I was truly touched, moved and inspired by him. Of course I had to stop and have a few words with him. I wanted to know what was the driving force behind this great gesture of love for the world.
He told me that this was his first time doing this and that he was inspired by the loss of his grandmother, who had recently died.
He went on to say that he was very close to his grandmother and that loosing her had him develop a greater appreciation for life. He now realizes just how precious life and love is and that he wants to share this revelation with the world. He wants people to know that they don’t have to do anything to receive love and that life is great just as it is right here and now.
I believe that Raudel’s act of love takes courage and self-confidence. I imagined myself doing it and the first thing that crossed my mind is what would others think of me. Would they think I’m crazy, on drugs or might they think I wanted something from them.
I realized that I was more moved by my fear of other and what they thought, than I was by my love and desire to generate love and make the world a better place.
This bothered me because I pride myself on being someone who is committed to bringing love to the world. I realize that I truly have to stop being concerned about what others think of me and just do what I’m here to do.
Let them think what they think, let them say what they say and I should just be who I am. This is a huge breakthrough for me.
I would have never thought that I would have gotten all of that from him.
It also got me to see how the smallest things I do could possibly have a great impact on others. The simplest act of love and kindness could change someone’s life forever.
Since meeting Raudel, I can more clearly see the power of one and the power of love.
Thank you Raudel for give me this possibility. I can’t wait to get back to Vegas again and spend some time in the presence of such a powerful loving man as he. Who knows I might even join him squatting on Fremont Street. I’ll start working on my Lotus position.
Managing the human condition
There are countless things that we all experience simply because it part of what it is to be human. This is commonly referred to as “The Human Condition.”
The difference in a Great Life and an awful life is determined by how well you mange the human condition.
Everybody hurts, Everybody cries, everybody lives, everybody dies
Everybody poops, everybody pee’s, everybody eats, everybody sleeps
Everyone worries, everyone frets, everyone remembers, everyone forgets
Everyone doubts and Everyone belives, Everyone is
Your success in life is cleary determined by how you deal with life “As It Really Is”
You can’t manage something that you don’t understand. You can’t understand how a thing works without allowing it work. You have to let it work, on order to figure out how it works. If your trying to control how it works, there is no way you can truly understand how it actually works. Therefore your wanting control over things will be the cause that limits your control over the thing.
So the key to managing the human condition is to surrender to how life really is and work from there with a positive mental attitude towards everything. That my friend is the one of the “KEYS TO THE KINGDOM.”
There is nothing more beneficial to life than a great attitude towards life. Your attitude is your life. Whatever your attitude is, your life will mirror it. Bad attitude, Bad Life, Good Attitude, Good Life, Great Attitude, Great Life.
Who wants to be managed by a person with a bad attitude. How many of us have had a boos with a bad attitude in some way or another. This type of boss made work unpleasant whenever they were around.
Well, now imagine that you are managing yourself with a bad attitude and you don’t even know it, just like you awful boss didn’t think he or she had bad a attitude. What if that’s just the way you are managing your human condition, with a bad attitude? Then maybe that is the reason that you life looks the way it does.
Things have to be dealt with powerfully in order to feel powerful around them. There is no power in pretending, True power is generated only in believing in what is real.
You can’t be happy by pretending that you are not human and that you do not suffer from what it is to be human.
The best way to manage The Human Condition is to except your life as it really is and manage it with an attitude that makes you feel great everyday. Then and only then will you experience the riches and the blessing of life, which is the only real wealth that exist.
