This is a universal symbol for happiness, it’s creator and the story behind it.

In late 1963, graphic designer Harvey Ball drew a crude freehand smile, then added a pair of eyes to make a more complete image.

Ball created his design for the State Mutual Life Assurance Company of America. The insurance company wanted to help assuage low employee morale after some difficult mergers and reorganizations, and asked Ball to create a simle smile design they could use for buttons. So Ball made the smiley face, and the insurance company printed a conservative 100. The happy yellow buttons proved so popular, State Mutual Life Insurance started ordering them in lots of 10,000. Ball had nothing to do with the design after his ten minute sketch.

In 2017 I plan on taking a good look at my life and what makes me happy. I now realize that happiness is the most rewarding of all virtues. The only thing that rivals man quest for happiness is his desire to experience love. Everything we do is aligned with love and happiness.

I welcome you to join me on my journey to a greater understanding of what it means to be happy and how is happiness achieved.

I also welcome each and everyone of you told chime in and share your secrets to being happy in life.

Stop Waiting, Start Creating

Want to stop doing things that don’t work, go and love yourself

Stop Doing What Doesn't Work

Why do we do things that don’t work?

Why do we do things that hurt ourselves?

Why do we inhale poisons into our lungs?

Why do we eat poisonous foods everyday?

Why do we drink poisons for sport?

Why are we poisoning the earth?

Why do we hide the truth?

These just a few of the questions that I ask myself on a regular basis. There are so many aspects of our civilized society that just don’t make sense and don’t work.

This is apparent in the federal, state, and local governments. It is also the case on a personal level. Most of us do things regularly that don’t work.

We do things that don’t move our lives forward, instead we do things that hold us back or slow us down.

I want to know why and how has this become the norm. Why is it that we find the best thing to do the hardest thing to do? We have so many of us chosen to live our lives from our lowest levels of awareness and consciousness?

Why is it that we have such a hard time loving others?

The answer is simple, so simple that you might not believe it.

There is one thing at the root of all troubles and issues, lack of love, Mostly lack of self-love.

No love is sustainable without self-love.

Self-love is the foundation for loving others and the world.

When you love yourself, you won’t do things to hurt yourself.

We love the things we love and we hurt the things that scare us.

Here are a few tips to make your life work better

1.Take some time to really love yourself. Start by being grateful for every little thing in your life, including the things you don’t like.

2.Stop judging and assessing yourself and others, Judgment destroys love. There is no right or wrong, there just is. Judgment deems it right or wrong.

3.Trust yourself and trust others. The world isn’t a scary place. Be open to life.

4.Desire love and happiness for everyone else. When you actually put forth effort to generate love and happiness for others, than you will experience it.

Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all. When you can love yourself, you can love others. When you are loving others, others will love you. When you’re surrounded by love inside and out, you won’t do things that don’t work.

So you should go and love yourself?

Hope for the Good

Road-Sign-with-Hope-and-Sky

Hope in the Good

Hope is a powerful thing. Hope can take you to your promise land or an all exclusive trip through hell.

To hope is to believe in the possibility of something you really want. You don’t hope for things that you don’t want badly. This is a good thing until your hoping for something not possible at that moment in time. That’s hoping for something bad to become good.

Hoping for a bad relationship to become good without 100% commitment from both parties, is a pip dream.

When you hope for something that just isn’t possible, you will loose yourself. You will keep stretching yourself because of your hope. You will allow your boundaries to be crossed believing each time, “maybe this will be the thing that makes the difference”.

You will hope until one day you look up and not realize how you managed to be in the situation you are in. You then ask yourself the question that has started many people down the path to Adulthood. “What The Fuck Am I doing?”

In that moment you realize that your hope has turned to daydreaming. You have convinced yourself that what you want is possible, despite the odds and the large amount of evidence to the contrary.

Everybody plays a fool sometime, there’s no exception to the rule.

When this happens to you, just own it with pride.

There is no pull for personal development when blaming others.

Get your power back by taking 100% responsibility for the results of every situation in your life.

Then and only then will you be able to truly overcome unfavorable experiences.

Keep hope alive, just don’t be blinded by it. Hope in the Good

Trust your intuition, do the most good and be true to yourself.
