I Love Forrest Gump.

“Your momma sure does care about you schooling son.”

“From that day on, if I was going somewhere, I was running!”

“I know everything there is to know about the shrimping business”

“I guess sometimes there just aren’t enough rocks”

“I’m not a smart man, but I know what love is.”

“Momma always said you gotta put your past behind you before you can move on.”

Jenny: “I named him Forrest, after his daddy.

Forrest: “He got a daddy named Forrest too?”

I just absolutely love this movie. This was my fifth time watching it. I believe that the reason that Forrest Gump had so many amazing things happen around him was because he wasn’t moved by the negative energy of others. What other people did or thought didn’t affect him much. Him just kept on doing whatever he was doing.

Unlike most of us, we get bogged down by what others think or by what we think they might think. Sometimes we don’t’ even take the time to see if others are thinking the way we assume they are thinking, we just run with our assumption.

Forrest didn’t have the ability to read that far into things, he kept it simple. Most adults over think things, to the point that our thoughts and beliefs about a situation taint it and alter the outcome.

When you taint an experience with your personal view, you and the situation are impacted. It most cases one’s experience of a situation parallels there subconscious view.

Whatever you believe, you will look for. What you look for you will see.

Forrest believed that life was good and by the design of a higher power. That’s what drove his success and happiness in life.

Moving forward I will keep things simple and work very hard only allow forward moving thoughts impact my life.
